Bing added Facebook "Friend effect" to its search

Microsoft is gearing up with it Bing search. It has replied to Google +1 the social intergation to the search result with the "Friend effect". Unlike Google +1, which user had to manualy link the search result to it profile Bing has added Facebook like to the search. It is now quite interesting for the Google +1 and the Bing new result.
What Bing is doing with it?
  • It will display the Facebook like by friends in the search results
  • Now result will be based on the people recommendation and not just friends which they called Collective IQ and personalized search.
  • Bing will shows well-liked content, including trending topics, articles and Facebook fan pages
  • Bing will display what the companies saying through the latest Facebook post.
  • Now Bing will powered the profile search in better way with expanded profile display in search.
  • Bing will also show the place result with related to friend living and the visit according to the Facebook page.
  • Now Will help in flight deals when you like something
  • Shopping recommendation and discussion through the Facebook friends.
The Bing also had a new toolbar which have universal like button to like any webpage. Link here to download


Advantage of the New integration of Facebook like button to the Bing:
  • It will give hard competition  to Google integration of social search the +1 button.
  • As Many of have more trust over our friends like so we will go for it, this benefit Bing.
  • People will go for existing option of Facebook like rather creating another hassle of +1 will go for Bing.
  • Bing search result will improve and will have more market share with this.

By having your friends be a measuring stick in search results publishers now need to target those friends in order to get a page in front of you, and so they will. top rankings in search should involve content that can stand on its own but sadly this move brings us closer to a point where something other than quality decides what Joe and Jane doe see in serps.

    Perhaps you are right, quality will not be the measure but friends likes or interest will determine the search.
    I also say, it not that same as many time we may differed from the idea of our friends. So it would be awkward result for us.......
