Ajinkya Rahane became the first batsman in IPL 2012 to score the century. Rajasthan Royals batsman scored 103 not out against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the match no 18th played at Chinnaswamy Stadium, in the 5th edition of IPL. He hits 12 fours and 5 sixes to reach the milestone.
After Rajasthan Royals Captain Rahul Dravid, won the toss and set to bat first, both opener Rahane and Dravid start playing cautiously. The third over, which Zaheer khan bowled goes into maiden, which is played by Rahane himself, but he continues striking thereafter fours and sixes. After Dravid's dismissal Owais Shah came to crease and with him Rahane shows the raining of boundaries and sixes. It was a long partnership between those two batsmen, the 2nd wicket partnership of 121.
Most admirable was the 14th over of the game from Arvind of which, Rahane hits 6 fours of the 6 balls. He strike the ball very well. Didn't left any bowler either it's Vettori or Muralitharan. he achived the feat of 100 in 58 balls.
In the previous match against Kings XI Punjab, he missed the century by just 2 runs, but in today's match he did a fantastic job to let Rajasthan Royals to a winning to total of 195/2. Due to his great effort RR able to beat RCB by 59 runs. What a master class performance from the young man, who is in a great form.
