Idea for Mini-Project in Computer Graphics for VTU 6 sem Students

There are many things on which one can develop a mini-project in Computer Graphics using OpenGL. As previously told, Computer Graphics and Visualization lab is one of the interesting subject in Computer science stream in VTU courses. It have programs that need to be executed during the labs, beside it student need to work on a mini-project to use the skills they learn in Computer Graphics.

  Now i have not make out this project, but if you try, it is not that hard to build as you can see one of the networking based project.
  
  If you see the code of the project i mentioned it will not be hard to code leaky bucket as both work in almost similar way except the shape.

  you don't have to do much things there. Just note down the life cycle of butterfly and represented all the phase in the forms of the figures like circles, triangle and rectangle etc.
  
  As in four of the life phase first is the egg- which can be drawn as an eclipse(oval). Second is the caterpillar which you can draw easily with lines and points. use good colour to make it look better. Similar go with the other to draw the pupa and the adult phase. It is little difficult to develop as too original but you can make an outline draw.
  
  Last you should place each in such a way that they comes one after one and at last the ends page where user had ability to repeat it.

  There are many games small ones that can be develop for mini project in computer graphics using OpenGL. If you mentioned some i definitely go for it, if i have such.
  Specify the name of game as all the basic things are same which taught in lab and interface is different for all games.
  
  You can see these game and make your own new game.

  the strategy depends on the person to person and also on the type of game he want to develope. Also one must also know how mcuh complex the game is or what compleity one can reduce or add, like in case of ludo game to reduce complexity the game was developed for two person instead of 4.
  
  User interaction is dependent on the game but sure one can use both mouse and keyboard seperately or both combined. Again the same functions are vibrants, if you need some translation or rotation you will use rotate and translate or even scaled function for light cases you will you ambidents so there are many more like that. I mean to say it soley on your game what it demand. Acoording to game you choose the functions to be used.
  
  I think first you should go for the simple polygonals objects in 2d then work further atlast if possbiel convert the work in 3d objects. Don't go direct in 3d objects but all your wish.
