Google Doodle honored Akira Yoshizawa on his 101st Birthday

Today's Google Doodle which is created on the famous Japanese art 'Origami' pays honour to the grandmaster of the 'Origami' Mr. Akira Yoshizawa. 


The Doodle, made the Google logo with the paper design. The logo art is designed by Robert lang who crafted the paper very well. A part from the name of the Google the Doodle also contains the butterflies in different colours. It is static but look beautiful, a great piece of paper art work.

Mr. Akira Yoshizawa (1911-2005) was considered to be the grandmaster of  Origami. He brings life to the old art of Japan. He is credited for bringing the origami from a craft to a living arts. He made many Origami paper art works which he think- totalling more than 50,000 models. He had crafted so many model with his creative idea and had published them to the books as well (18 books). He was awarded with the higher citizen award of Japan - Order of the Rising Sun.
