In past the creation of music seems to be the divine arts and only basic instruments are used in the creation of a good pleasant music. The instrument are primitive and human hand made only. But now we have seen a lots of changes in the modern music and the musical instruments. We have varieties of  instruments available. As like other music too had gone through the impact of the changes in the technology. The trend in technology also had its effect on the music and the composition of it. Now Musician heavily depend on the technology to create a sound track or beats. Technology also had made the change in voice as well. Use of technology had grown up and will go much higher. We have varieties of sound can be created with a single keyboard. Today music had became loud and fast too and this is due to the technology only.

There are varieties of instrument used in sharping a good sound. From the different kinds of electronics pianos to guitars violin and multi-sound generating keyboard. The use of logic too is a great advance. The use of workstation x-station, different amplifiers sound-mixers with different no of channels, electronic drum kits  line 6-8 gearboxes and different plug-in likes Ring shifters Multipressor, Space Designer, EXS24, EVP88, e.t.c along with sculptures.

We have many software's here to do the editing work. For Example we have the cubase to get the desirable pitch and the perfect mixing. The Drum machine too had which create the sound like the actual physical drums.  Sound refiner as well as mixing and softner too there is for the purpose of editing the track.

The technology is also spread by the Band and the orchestra performer and due them the new and new instrument had came and get popular.

A little about Cubebase

Google rolling Account Activity an insight for usages of all Google services

Google introduces new feature called  'Account Activity', which mean to show users how they uses different Google services. The Account Activity, which will be the part of Google dashboard creates monthly report for all the activity like sing-ins (location, browser, platform), place visited (on Google Latitude), email sent and receive, Google searches etc. The report will be generated for the users who will opt to sign up for this feature.

The new Account Activity is insight for all the services of Google you use. Considering the sing-in locations and the browser and platform you uses to sign in. Interesting feature is the reports  for the usages of Gmail. Like comparison of email sent and received and the top contact with the previous month. The report of the numbers of the queries made via Google search and the top queries also includes the way which you use the Google to surf the web.

Andreas Tuerk, product manager of Google, explains in the post how it is helpful to know the insight for all Google services as an report. He says-
[M]y most recent Account Activity report told me that I sent 5 percent more email than the previous month and received 3 percent more. An Italian hotel was my top Gmail contact for the month. I conducted 12 percent more Google searches than in the previous month, and my top queries reflected the vacation I was planning: [rome] and [hotel].
He also admitted how this can helps us determine the suspicious activity that other may be have been using our account with the analysis of the report.
Knowing more about your own account activity also can help you take steps to protect your Google Account. For example, if you notice sign-ins from countries where you haven’t been or devices you’ve never owned, you can change your password immediately and sign up for the extra level of security provided by 2-step verification.

This move is perhaps the Google's decision of unification of it privacy policy way back which causes alot of concern over the privacy issues. How the insight might give the user how they are doing with Google but still some issue need to tackle out.

Want to sign in for the new Account Activity check out here. It wouldn't be bad to have it.

Develop front screen in OpenGL mini-project

(Cross posted on OpenGL Projects)

In VTU lab for Computer Graphics, developing a mini-project is part of it. While developing CG mini-projects using OpenGL, there is need to present the project well. One must add front screen to the project which show the names of college, projects, guides and the project developers. It is good to have front screen as it provides introduction of the project.

There are many ways of adding front screen to the project. Here I explains, the basic way of adding front screen to the mini-project. Typically what looks in the picture below. Let's get started.

OpenGL provides great platform to develop the 2D and 3D Computer Graphics objects, render them, apply smart effects to produced wonderful graphical objects. Learning OpenGL and create something with the help of the API is one of the key things a Computer Engineers may have. Though most of the Programmer go to develop application based on different API but OpenGL is almost needed at higher level of graphic implementation. Example OpenGL ES and M3G  is used for developing the 3D mobile applications. OpenGL is used in iPhone as well as in the iPad.

It is good to learn about the computer graphics which uses OpenGL libraries, for the computer science student. To start with learn basic things and develop mini projects on it. That aim is what VTU choose for it Computer Graphics subject. In previous post I talked about the few efficient OpenGL mini-projects, to broaden I posting few more lists that can be easily created and learn. These projects are soul purpose of learning, so if you are serious get over them, read, learn and develop your projects with idea you have.
  • Olympic : This project draw the super cool logo of the Olympic.
  • Simple move light :
    1. In this project six spheres are and a moving light source is designed using glutSolidSphere which impacts ambient, diffuse and specular effects.
    2. Add the keyboard interface is used for output options like a idle, rotation movement, angle increment and decrement.
  • Spot Light swing :
  • Triangular motion:
  • Ship Screensaver:
    1. Screensaver is always been an interesting task to many. Here a simple screensaver package is designed here.
    2. This has colorful interface. We can set this as screen saver for computers. We can use keyboard and mouse for movement. If we click right mouse button the water waves move. If we click on keyboard the boat moves.
    3. We can also use timer for this.
  • Haloed line wireframe:
  • Aquarium :
    1. A clean aquarium is drawn with colourful fishes, which moves around.
    2. This project give ability of adding food as well as poison food for controlling the fishes.
  • Motion Blur :
  • Front Demo : Simply Shows the different fonts as Graphics, a simple demo of all fonts.
  • Particle falls :
    1. A sphere with particles falling over it whose rate can be control.
    2. Another sphere for collision can be added along with controls of adding/removing fog.
    3. Particles can be changes as a drops of either dotted particles or lines particles.
    4. Many more interactions to try out, both keyboard and mouse functionality.

Angry Birds, one most famous game developed by Rovio, gone to Space. The new Angry birds came that Schedules to be launch on 22 March was demonstrated by NASA Astronaut Don Pettit, who shows the physics in the space. The next game is based on the gravity free space so Don Pettit  previewed the game by playing in the Game in the Space Station. He explians about the phsics that deals with the motion or movement in the gravity-free space. How a player will move birds to hit the pigs in the game is that what strategy he taught.

The new Angry Birds Space will have 60 levels with some changes in the behaviours of the birds or say new kind of birds. User have Challenges to hit the pigs in the weightless environment. Also the Gravity of the planets will play roles which make the game bit tougher. Correct trajectory is needed to path the birds. There are some birds which will have the potential of freezing the bricks. One Purple colored birds has special ability which you see in the game, like moving on click. While the pigs get the protection with the glass mask(suit) which covers them.

There are time when you want to to hide some friends, that you are online on Facebook. There is  a simple way through which you can go offline to a particular friend or a group of friends.

Step 1: In the sidebar click on the option in that chat and you will see the following image. Choose Advance Setting by clicking on it.

Step 2:  As you will see the advance option, where you got three options to choose. The first radio box which is selected by default, says "All your friends see you except..." under the box start typing the names of the friends from whom you want to go offline. Select as many Friends as you want and then save the changes by clicking the save button.

Instead of choosing the particular friends and typing the name again and again, you can choose a friends list and hide them your online status. There is both way you can select, either the a single friend or a Friends list to go offline with them.

This is one of the best privacy option to be opt out in the Facebook chat. Simply restrict the friends whom you don't want to show your online Facebook presence or create the list of such people.

Now Suppose if you missed a person then you can directly go offline with him by clicking on the name in chat box and then choose option. In the option select 'Go offline with Friend name'. As you can see this in the image below.
