Ajit Chandila took a Hat-trick against Pune Warriors in the match 60 of IPL 5, it was the first Hat-trick in this season of IPL. Chandila, who had not enough experience ( only two first-class matches), was asked to open the bowling as Pune Warriors were chasing the target of 171 set by Rajasthan Royals at  Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. He took 2 wickets at the end of the first over and got his Hat-trick, on the first ball of his second over.

Chandila Hat-trick victims - Jessen Ryder, Saourav Ganguly, Robin Uthappa.

In-experience Chandila, get rid off three international batmen to grab his Hat-trick. His first Victim was Jessen Ryder, who hit high in mid-on but didn't get is proper enough to go over boundary, get caught by Watson. Second to go was Ganguly, who was trying to speed the innings but failed. Chandila bowled on the leg stump Ganguly try to charge over the top, ball of the bat hits the pad and goes to the wicket-keeper, he was quick to get off the bails beat Ganguly's attempt to get back in the crease. He got Ryder on 5th ball and Ganguly on 6th ball of the first over. Next was his second over and victim was Robin Uthappa. Chandila gave a length ball which Uthappa try to go over the off side dragged too forward, he was beaten and wicket-keeper Goswami, was quick enough to get bails off, Uthappa back foot was way out of the crease.

Chandila also grab another wickets of Majumdar, finishing his figure of 4 for 13 in 4 overs. What a fine bowling from the new comer. Hope he continues this.
